I don’t think Apple … I don’t think Apple will ever make a mid tower simply because it would put them in direct competition with companies like Dell who can turn out a quad core mid tower for $50 or less and mark up to $399.
I’ll agree that the … I’ll agree that the iMacs are one of Apple’s products that is actually somewhat fairly priced. I don’t like the idea of All-In-Ones, nor are they practical over small desktops or even a laptop, but the iMacs are priced comparably to other All-in-Ones.
IMO, Apple should make an affordable mid-tower for enthusiasts who like to get into their computers and upgrade with aftermarket parts. Of course, that means less Mac sales, so it’s unlikely to happen. It would be nice though.

My point is valid. … My point is valid. I’m comparing the same types of products. You cannot compare a tower PC to and AIO because the AIO is more expensive to make. When you compare the Mac AIO to other OEMs the do very well.

Having a smaller form-factor doesn’t make it so different that you would never buy it for the same purposes as a tower unit.
