Purely out of interest, I want to see what the equivalent of certain prices in, say, 1982 would be now. For example in 1981 I sold a 64k (YES – 64K!) memory card for £995!
I’m looking for a site that compares UK sterling prices over the years.
Thanks
Hi, I should have said cost of living generally rather than memory cards in particular. So, for example, if I was paid £15,000 in 1982 (say), what would the equivalent salary be today?
I do not know how relavent U S inflation data is to U K prices, but in the U S 1981 prices are about 0.44 of prices today. Actually a tad less than that according to the official data. But we all know how officials like to lie.
You can compare stock prices to 30 years ago at DecisionPoint.com. I don’t know of any place that allows you to compare stuff like memory cards.
