Best rock lobsters barraging guide (9 lobsters)

Rock lobster barraging guide.
Song used: Priestess – Lay Down

Most of people think that bursting is cheaper than barraging, but it only seems so. /NOTE: Prices change all the time. this info may be outdated. some ppl pointed out that they soemtimes use less bursts. but still, even if you spend additional 20m for barrages, you save about 40-50hours. it’s easy to make 20m in 50hours, even @ bandos./

To kill 9 lobsters you need about 15-16 barrages at 1800gp ea (current price) = about 27k gp per 9 lobsters

To kill 9 lobsters with burst, you need about 25-27 casts, at 1200ea (current price) = +30k.

Barrage is not only cheaper, but faster. With barrage you can get about 200 crimson, 100 gold, 50 green charms per hour, and burst maxes at about 140 red charms (which is just bit more than waterfiends)

And some statistics for you:
1k barrage = 1,8m gp = 330red/160gold/80green charms
-
1k barrage = 300k magic xp
-
1hour = ~170k mage xp = 200red/100gold/50 green charms

What I say in vid, incase you cant make it out: “Most of people wear max possible magic bonus, but 70 is just fine. Rock lbosters are very weak against magic attacks. Instead of additional magic bonus, wear some defence and prayer equipment. I use boots of lightness and penance gloves because no boots or gloves can give me significant bonus to mage/def/prayer.”
-
“There are 10 lobsters, but you only lure 9, since barrage can only damage 9 targets at a time. plus, if you lure the 10th one and come back to the spot, it wanders off.”
-
“To get rid of the small dagannoths, run next to the east wall, and they will get stuck behind the torch. Then you stand exactly here, and run thereand barrage them to death. As you can see I dont splash, even with only 70 magic bonus”
-
“If you dont want to waste your time looking for charms in the pile, jsut click the top of it several times, arrows, runes and charms are always on top. After picking charms I browse the pile for pure ess, ranarrs, half keys etc”
-
“I cant get the ranger dagannoth to come here, but I’ll show you what to do when it comes. Turn ranged pray on, and as you run north, change it to melee. Ranger will follow you and stand in the lobster barraging spot. Run back to safespot with ranged prayer on, and continue killing”

Enjoy

    Now after numerous …
Now after numerous updates since I made this video it depends on many conditions. I suggest that you would buy 1k barrages, make extreme magics (if you can) and just see how far it gets you. Lets say, if you need X amount of xp, and from 1k barrages you get Y xp and it cost u Z gp. Divide X/Y, that’s how many barrages u need, and then multiply by Z to find out how much it will cost.
    good luck

    I understand 2. :p

    I understand 2. :p

I can make 1.4M a/h so that won’t be any problem.

Going to wait till I can make Extreme magics. + Ancient staff = 50% more damage = twice as cheap as normally =3

    3. how much money? …
    3. how much money? it depends on current prices. Barrages now are VERY costy, since the infinite stock removal. I have spent 140m ish alone on barrages + pray pots + other, and rest is shard cost which is not a lot (maybe about 40m)
    4. magic xp p/h is about 200k~, add or take depends if you slack or do it very fast.
    5. yes it would be a great idea if you can afford it. bursting in ape atoll dungeon is also good xp but you burn runes and get totally nothing back.

    1. No, they …
    1. No, they wouldn’t be faster, unless you piety them with steel titan on a slayer task (which is still little less, and also very costy)
    2. yes, you could profit from waterfiends. what method you choose depends on how you value your time. for example, hour of barraging costs X (idk current prices), and you save Y minutes of time. If you can make X or more gp in time Y or less, then you should choose lobs. If you dont udnerstand, please reply once again i’ll try to make it clearer.

    Wouldn’t …
Wouldn’t waterfiends be a little faster? Besides, in the end you will only have made profit from waterfiends, and rocklobsters is all loss.

How much money would it be for 99 Summoning? Aka 30K Crimsons?

And what is the magic exp a/h here?

Would it be an idea to train magic here? And having the crimsons as a bonus? Or do you suggest me bursting somewhere else then?

    Thanks!!

    around 90k bursts …
around 90k bursts hitting only once. so you estimate 9 hits per burst = 400 xp per burst so thats like 13k bursts or so. = 15m :S
